    Nikkor Nikon lens review5
Amazed at how fast it came- like within a couple of days aft ord. Was as described- still in box & brand new condition. Recently went to Fla & used the lens- performed beautifully- it’s fast, precise, user-friendly & best of all- most people are saying these pix are award-winning! I am completely satisfied in every way & would definitely do business with these vendors again.

    Nikon 18 VR review4
Overall, I would have to say this lens does what it is supposed to do. It is an excellent general purpose zoom, with the added benefit of VR. Just to make things clear, I am not the type of person who compares the minute details of lenses; but I do notice the differences between them. After using this lens and selling it to purchase the nikon 17-55mm f/2.8, I have noticed a few differences between them. Obviously, build quality is no competition, with the 17-55 easily winning (feels like one solid machined block!) There is one thing that I definitely miss from the 105mm lens though–VR! Yes, over the course of time that I had the 17-55mm, I learned to love VR, and trust me–you don’t know what you’ve got til it’s gone, especially in the case of VR. VR aside, however, the 17-55 has the benefit of a constant aperture, along with better contrast and color in my opinion. then again, it costs three times what the 18-105 does (I bought mine off of craigslist for $900–don’t pay $1220 new, that is a ripoff. if you’re going to pay that much get the new 24-70mm.) For what it is supposed to do, however, the 18-105mm does just fine.

    Great Nikon DX lens5
This Nikon F lens has had some tough reviews… but I don’t know why?
Affordable - I bought mine refurbished for 220 (looks and works like new).
Great Quality Images - Better zoom range and sharper than the 18-55vr (another great affordable lens) Built in manual zoom ring - This is a must have if you are shooting DSLR videos as there is no auto focus on the D90 Video. This is obviously not a “pro” lens, but it takes great photos and is priced reasonably. I highly recommend it.

    A great compromise between the 18 Zoom,4

I recently traded the 18-55mm VR lens from my D60 kit for this lens. I wanted something with more range than the 18-55 offered, and with VR, so it was a choice between the 18-200mm VR and this lens. Between the price of the latter, and the reports of worse distortion, zoom creep, and poor feel of the zoom & focus rings of the 18-200, I decided this was the best choice. The fact that this lens is a tad shorter and a good bit lighter (420g vs. 560g) make it an even better choice for a walkaround (or even only) lens for normal use.

The fit & finish is much better than that of the kit lens, and while it is a bit heavier than the 18-55, it’s not appreciably longer, if any. I’m not a good enough photographer to tell you how it compares on distortion to either the 18-55 or the 18-200, so I won’t even try. But it produced a number of wonderful images for me today, under low light and handheld, without noticeable distortion, and they were very clear except if I was shaking badly (this is with shutter speeds of 1/40-1/10). I purchased it for $300 new, about half of the price of the 18-200mm VR. In all, I am quite satisfied with this lens as an all-around, do-everything lens.

    Great Nikkor Nikon F Quality4
The optical and mechanical quality of this lens is nothing short of fantastic. I have been very pleased with the results of this lens. Great sharpness and nice contrast. The Nikon Nikkor lens is a bit heavy but the VR allows one to hand hold it with impressive results even at 400mm. If you need the extra reach of 400mm, this lens will not disappoint you.

    Nikon f 2.8. is Photography!!!!!5
In the early spring and into the summer, I spend most of my spare time working on a raptor nesting program. I look for the nests of various birds of prey, (hawks, eagles, falcons, and owls) gps their positions and photograph the adult and young. To get a better image of these beautiful birds I bought the Nikon 80-400mm lens. I haven’t been disappointed. I get good sharp hand held photos, thanks to the VR capability. It is a little slow on the focus but nothing to stop me from getting some great shots of bird sitting and in flight. I recently bought a Nikon 80-200mm f2.8 D ED lens. This lens is very, very sharp. I was surprised when comparing the two lens side by side. It is almost impossible to tell which lens took which photo. Both the Nikon 80-200mm f2.8 D ED, and the 80-400mm VR lenses are a tribute to Nikon high standards of excellence.

    400mm Lens 5
I purchased this 400mm 5.6 after selling the famous 70-200mm monster because I wanted the feature of 400mm. I was hesitant to make the purchase because of the noted sluggish automatic focus - and it is true. But now I use it solely with manual focus and usually a monopod and the reults are just incredible. I have taken beautiful bird and wildlife photos as well as far away details that I had never successfully photographed.

    Great for everyday! 5
I have this lens canon EF on my camera most often. I have kids and the zoom is great for taking pictures of them when they are running around. I was surprised the first time i went to use this lens, its very quiet. This EF Zoom lens has a little weight to it and doesnt feel cheap at all. I recommend this lens to friends. Its fairly inexpensive and is of good quality. And it takes some great pictures.

    Nice all-around zoom lens5
I bought this 105mm lens as a step-up from the kit lens on my Canon Rebel XTI. I needed the extra distance it offers. It works great for my purposes and the price is definitely right. The USM motor is a great feature. The AF is pretty good and it’s not too bulky. There is no IS, but that has not been a problem for me. I’ve used this lens for close-up shots, outdoor photography, and aquarium photography. It works pretty well in low-light situations (such as in an aquarium) and has produced some excellent shots. This is an excellent all-around zoom lens and is a great upgrade to the kit lens that comes with the Canon XTI. Recommended!

    Amazing addition for the price4
While this is obviously not an L lens, it still has great quality for the price. The auto-focus is second to none in most situations and the pictures are very crisp. It is extremely well constructed, and if your on a budget like me, is the best lens to upgrade from the basic 18-55mm lens. The ability to Manually focus while still on Auto-focus is great for those shots you can’t get it to perfectly pick up on. All in all a great Canon product. For the money its definitely 5 stars, but in the grand scheme of things a 4 is more appropriate.

    Outstanding product : Olympus Zuiko 70 300mm 5
This is a reasonable priced zoom lens that is well worth the time and trouble to carry it around. I have had very good success using it with my Olympus E-520 camera. Crisp clear photos are the result of using this ED Zuiko lens.

    Affordable birding Olympus Zuiko lens5
Along with E520’s inbuilt images stabilization, this Zuiko lens offers the most affordable birding, wildlife lens with a effective reach of images stabilizated 600mm (2x crop factor) well under a grand. This combo is very lightweight and hand-holdable making is very useful for hikes.Just make sure you have sufficient light, and keep ISO to 400-800 range so that shutter speed is at least 1/100 to avoid shake from handholding. IQ is very good from F6.3 to F9 and beyond. In low contrast situations this lens is slow in focusing, but this is expected at this price range with any lens having a maximum aperture of F5.6. Use only center point focus to improve focus acquisition.

Colors are very nice with E520, unlike the bland output from Canon Rebel and EFS55-250 combo. Of my half-dozen Zuiko lenses, this has the highest VFM. With Canon, you might pay over a grant for the lens alone (ex. EF 100-400 IS). Nikon has nothing in this range. This Zuiko lens puts 70-300m lenses from Canikons to shame as far (pun intended) reach and IQ is concerned. Highly recommended.

Nice Olympus ED lens for the price!,4.0 out of 5 stars

With this 300mm lens you can really feel like you are almost next to your subject. I can’t wait to get some shots at the next full moon. For the price, it is a great lens. The bokeh on this lens is nice, with a shallow DOF. That said, there are some shortcomings, but I would expect that from a telephoto zoom 300mm lens like this. First, the auto-focus will hunt in low light. I really don’t think I’m going to be using the 300mm end of the lens in low light anyway. I noticed that the lens didn’t seem to focus well if you had multiple focus points selected. Pick one of your focus points and use it. Remember that this lens, while light-weight is not one that you want to use hand-held at 300mm unless you can get a very short shutter speed. I noticed more than a few shots had problems with camera shake using longer shutter speeds.

Very good 300mm f4 telephoto, 5.0 out of 5 stars

Bought an Olympus 70 300mm lens last week from Amazon and put it through some tests on an E-510 yesterday and today. I was careful to separate narrow depth-of-field telephoto characteristics from lens image resolution. Auto-focus is quick (enough for landscapes) and accurate, though can be slow in low light. At infinity, shooting distant landscapes, the lens is very sharp corner to corner at F8 from 70mm up to around 220mm–beyond that, the corner resolution begins to soften (inspected at 100% enlargement). By 300mm at F8 (when shooting images both near and far), the edge resolution is noticably demolished. Was relieved to find that stopping the lens down from F9 to F11 greatly increased image corner resolution at the longer end of the lens–especially 300mm lens at F11.

The longer telephoto end of the lens is probably not quite as sharp as the wider to middle range, but overall, the lens can delivers sharp, even resolution across the whole image frame from 70mm to 300mm–though a tripod or monopod looks to be necessaty above 200mm (or there abouts) in low light, even with the E-510’s anti-shake feature (and trying to keep ISO at 100). With pixel peeking, there is very little chromatic aberration to be found throughout the zoom range. A harsher color fringe may crop up at high-contrast edges near the margin of images–but this is easily removed in Photoshop software. Images show good color and contrast. An excellent lens–and a keeper.

    great Nikkor Nikon lens!5
After buying the Nikon 18-135 lens and also the lowest price from any website from ebay to Amazon this is now my everyday lens that I use. Thanks for the great price and a quality product.

I love this Nikon DX lens.5
I love my 135mm lens. I find it works for about everything I take pictures of. There are very few times I take it off. A great purchase for my everyday use. [...].

    perfect range, light, fast focus4
I bought d80 because of this nikon 18 135 mm. The Nikkor 135mm is a perfect range for one lens. I didn’t want to switch lenses so this was the solution. There are a lot criticism in amazon reviews about this lens, but just know that all zoom lenses have distortions. Nikon lens makers decided to make this into a sharp lens and sacrificed on distortion part. The thing is there are plenty of photographers titled PRO in flickr who love this lens. I’m not a pro, but I’ve seen their photos and the lens seems to work just fine for them.

My two cents, 4.0 out of 5 stars

I am a novas photographer at best i got this nikon 18 135mm lens in the D80 kit and have been shooting with it for over a year, like most people I
didn’t have thousands of dollars to spend on a lens, and I feel that it
is a wonderful lens as well as versatile. I have taken it hiking my kids
have played with it and it is still going. As far as the statements this
is a good lens for an armature but not a pro well check out Nikon’s site
were they have pros shoot with all different cameras and lenses and I feel
a true pro can work with anything handed to them. So in my opinion if you
and looking for something to learn with this is a great lens and don’t let all the so called pros out there scare you off. You don’t have to spend thousands of dollars to take good pics just believe in yourself and don’t give up.

well balanced and versatile,4.0 out of 5 stars

I’ve had this SLR camera lens for a couple of years, now, and have used it as a walkabout/travel lens on my D-80 for many thousands of pictures. It’s not as sharp as the 70-300 VR, and much less sharp and accurate than the 1.8 50 mm. At the same time, it’s taken a lot of really good pictures, and has made it down the Grand Canyon on a raft (with a dry bag), and memorialized the trip very well. I keep looking at the new 16-85 VR, but for the money, this is a really good lens. Outdoors, it has excellent sharpness, color rendition, and speed. I’ve also used it for interiors, where zoom framing is valuable, although it loses a bit in speed and aharpness without flash. Even there, it’s way better than point-and-shoot quality.
    Still thinking about the 16-85..

Great point and shoot, with a couple of reservations4
I’m really enjoying using this 10MP camera. I largely do photos of kid-related events, with occasional more professional uses. My main complaint is that two of the best features are non-compatible: if you want the image stabilizer to work, you have to turn the sound recording off of video. This sounds fine, except when are you ever going to remember to turn the sound back ON when something is happening and you want to take a spur-of-the-moment video? Of course, you don’t remember, so you get a silent film. So if you’re me, you keep the image stabilizer off all the time, and thus that feature becomes irrelevant. It’s not a huge thing, but a point worth considering if you’re using the camera for ease of use and multiple functions. Otherwise I’ve been very happy with it.

    Picture perfect snapsots4
Very good camera digital optical zoom for amateur snapshots. Excellent zoom — great for graduations; anticipate good for concerts. Takes more time than I have to learn the manual and more complicated settings. Easy to upload pics to computer. Have not tried in concert settings to see whether too noisy/distracting as was my fujifilm finepix $500 camera predecessor.

This our fourth digital camera optical zoom5
This is our fourth digital camera over the last 10 years or so. It is by far the best camera, and the best value of any of the previous units. I was fully impressed with our Nikon, and still satisfied with the quality of the photos that it produces. Unfortunately, the main problem with the Nikon lies with me, not the camera, and will get worse with time. It’s the dreaded “shakes”.

Most of the new cameras on the market have one method or another to deal with the “shakes” by one of four methods. A few cameras compensate by matching the camera motion with the image chip, others by compensating with a lens element, and most of the rest by increasing the ISO setting or by increasing the shutter speed (known as digital stabilization). The Olympus SP-565 can stabilize with three of the four methods (no lens compensation), yet retains fully automatic functions for other aspects.

Look, this camera megapixels has way too many features to detail here. This is a relatively compact camera that packs an incredible number of options. If you want to point and shoot, leave it on “Auto”. If you want to control the image, there is an amazing array of possiblities. It even has a “My Camera” feature that lets you set up the camera the way you want to (actually four different configurations), and stores it for quick selection.

    5nikon lens 70 300mm - Wonderful :)
I really really loved this slr camera lens. It works perfectly with my camera and has allowed me to take AWESOME pictures. Thank you very much for providing such a wonderful camera slr lens. Might I add, the delivery was quick and the price…very affordable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stunning lens on my D700,
I bought this 70 300mm f 4 5.6 nikon lens about 2 years ago and have been using it on my D200. It’s sharp. It’s light. It’s a lens that, if I drop it, I’ll live. But the comments that it is rather slow in dim light are fair, and I’ve been saving for the 70-200 2.8 zoom. Rather than replace the lens, though, I fell in love with the D700. That CAMERA is so fast and so good at high ISO’s — crystal clear at 1600 — it’s like the lens just got 4 stops faster! Suddenly, the 5.6 f/stop (at the long end) is the equivalent of 2.8. At the short end, the 4.0 becomes a mythical 1.0! It’s AMAZING. I just upgraded all my lenses similarly. On the D700, this zoom 300mm is a fabulous lens. It’s fast glass! It’s sharp. It’s light. True, it still does not focus as snappy quick as an AFS lens, but then, it’s many hundreds of dollars cheaper! And it’s not a VR, but I’m shooting 4 stops faster as it is! (VR lets you use slower shutter speeds, but doesn’t hold your subject still; higher ISO’s give you the faster shutter speed.) It really is an amazing bargain lens. If you’re on a lower model Nikon camera, you won’t be using it inside. If you can spring for the D700 or D3, it’s hard to argue

5.0 out of 5 stars Nikon 70-300 Lens,

This is a light weight lens that is easy to use and gives great results. I also have a Nikor 70-300 D that is supposed to be far superior to the G lens (and costs a lot more) but I tested this 300mm f4 against the D and found the difference to be so slight that only the “most high pros” would care.
Considering the weight difference, I know I will use this one most of the time and probably sell my D lens. I was able to take hand held (no tripod) shots at 300mm with only a brace and got perfect results.

    4.0 out of 5 stars 300mm lens,

I received the 300mm nikkor lens very quickly, which was greatly appreciated. I have used it several times on my Nikon D90 camera, and it really reaches out there and gets excellent closeups. Is very easy to use, works seamlessly with my camera, exactly as I’d hoped. A lot of product for the money, and a very satisfied customer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good companion for a D50,

For the price, ($138 including shipping from BuyAccesories) this lens is hard to beat. Works very well with the D50. On overcast days at 200 - 300mm a monopod or tripod give the best results. Other reviewers have mentioned the bokeh quality of this 300mm lens and I agree, very appealing. Auto focus can be a little noisy and may tend to hunt before locking in. Manual focus and zoom operation is very smooth and feels right.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Lumix Camera,I had a Sony H3 and really liked it. It was stolen from a hotel room and now after two years I was going to have to do research all over again. Based on reviews from Amazon and dpreview.com I settled on the Panasonic Lumix FZ28S. I have owned it for about a month and I am very happy with the purchase. The RAW feature was what made the final decision. The pictures are great, good color and sharpness. While I am no photo expert I really like the option of using the Raw feature and tweeking the final picture. The iA auto feature is great for quick shots. It produces very good results. The camera is lite and easy to carry. All around it is a wonderful camera at a very good price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tele Macro feature is near unbelievable!!!,
My “other” camera is a Canon 5D mark II (I kid you not). 5D2 will make you work for that admittedly amazing result. Panasonic FZ28 is more fun and a truly stunning all around camera. I agree with about all the positives in the many reviews I’ve read here, but don’t see any suitable rants about the wonderful tele macro feature of the FZ28 camera digital optical zoom. Like shooting bugs, flowers, rocks, “stuff?” This is your camera. At full 18x zoom it will focus at 3 feet with far greater depth of field than any other lens I know about. Wow!! Make that small stuff pop! You don’t have to decide which part of the tulip filling your shot should be sharp. Shoot bumblebees and butterflies without scaring them off. Forget shoving your face and camera into the brambles or shredding your elbows and knees for that close up. Just stand back and fire away. Fantastic!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it!,

This camera f panasonic was purchased to replace a lost compact Canon 10MP camera. It’s not likely to get lost as this is slightly smaller and lighter than the old school 35MM SLR’s. I like the grip. The only gripe I have is when taking indoor flash shots of people, you need to go to portrait mode and pre-select the type (indoor, outdoor, e.t.c.) using the joystick (it’s easy if you read the manual and play around with it a few times to get used to it), as shooting in the easy mode results in blurred subjects. While this is no problem for me, it may take some first-time users a while to get used to all of the functions. A big plus was the switchable viewfinder, and the easy short-cut buttons on the top for auto focus function and macro. The battery life was good (400+ photos), and the night time exposure settings really show how sensitive this camera is. I found the color a good flat, balanced, and consistant tone. (if you want more vivid or “processed” colors, use your picture software).
In closing for the price, this one’s a keeper!

5.0 out of 5 stars Panasonic Camera 10MP Digital Camera,

Fantastic digital camera. I had the Lumix DMC-FZ5 and found it to be a great little workhorse. The DMC-FZ28K is even better. Image stabilization, very fast shutter speed, and great 18x visual zoom make it a joy to use. Easy to use, intuitive controls. Fairly compact, easy to hold. Since I have no intention of printing poster size, I reduced the pixel to 5MP, to save memory on my computer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Panasonic Lumix FZ28 -a creative choice.,

I brought this camera a few weeks ago and it is unbelievable.
There are 23 programs within the system, with additional variances within many of the sub-programs. I have not been able to test them all yet- too many. The camera is fast and accurate. Color reproduction is accurate. The camera is very light and fits naturally in the hand. There is an “I” or Intelligent mode; this is great for the beginner or anyone who wants complete automatic programming. Truly an excellent camera with a top rates lens. (This is an upgrade from my Panasonic Lumix FZ 10 which was more expensive).
