    5nikon lens 70 300mm - Wonderful :)
I really really loved this slr camera lens. It works perfectly with my camera and has allowed me to take AWESOME pictures. Thank you very much for providing such a wonderful camera slr lens. Might I add, the delivery was quick and the price…very affordable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stunning lens on my D700,
I bought this 70 300mm f 4 5.6 nikon lens about 2 years ago and have been using it on my D200. It’s sharp. It’s light. It’s a lens that, if I drop it, I’ll live. But the comments that it is rather slow in dim light are fair, and I’ve been saving for the 70-200 2.8 zoom. Rather than replace the lens, though, I fell in love with the D700. That CAMERA is so fast and so good at high ISO’s — crystal clear at 1600 — it’s like the lens just got 4 stops faster! Suddenly, the 5.6 f/stop (at the long end) is the equivalent of 2.8. At the short end, the 4.0 becomes a mythical 1.0! It’s AMAZING. I just upgraded all my lenses similarly. On the D700, this zoom 300mm is a fabulous lens. It’s fast glass! It’s sharp. It’s light. True, it still does not focus as snappy quick as an AFS lens, but then, it’s many hundreds of dollars cheaper! And it’s not a VR, but I’m shooting 4 stops faster as it is! (VR lets you use slower shutter speeds, but doesn’t hold your subject still; higher ISO’s give you the faster shutter speed.) It really is an amazing bargain lens. If you’re on a lower model Nikon camera, you won’t be using it inside. If you can spring for the D700 or D3, it’s hard to argue

5.0 out of 5 stars Nikon 70-300 Lens,

This is a light weight lens that is easy to use and gives great results. I also have a Nikor 70-300 D that is supposed to be far superior to the G lens (and costs a lot more) but I tested this 300mm f4 against the D and found the difference to be so slight that only the “most high pros” would care.
Considering the weight difference, I know I will use this one most of the time and probably sell my D lens. I was able to take hand held (no tripod) shots at 300mm with only a brace and got perfect results.

    4.0 out of 5 stars 300mm lens,

I received the 300mm nikkor lens very quickly, which was greatly appreciated. I have used it several times on my Nikon D90 camera, and it really reaches out there and gets excellent closeups. Is very easy to use, works seamlessly with my camera, exactly as I’d hoped. A lot of product for the money, and a very satisfied customer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good companion for a D50,

For the price, ($138 including shipping from BuyAccesories) this lens is hard to beat. Works very well with the D50. On overcast days at 200 - 300mm a monopod or tripod give the best results. Other reviewers have mentioned the bokeh quality of this 300mm lens and I agree, very appealing. Auto focus can be a little noisy and may tend to hunt before locking in. Manual focus and zoom operation is very smooth and feels right.
