Great, reasonably priced walk-around Slr camera lens
This Canon ef lens is, I believe, one of the most under-rated in their line-up. Canon thinks enough of it to sell in the new kit packages and many people are discovering what a fine little lens it is. A major upgrade over the 18-55, this camera ef lens focuses quickly and accurately; it is relatively lightweight and fits nicely in any camera bag. The focal range is excellent for a general lens to just leave on your camera. For a little more information on how it can produce, go to luminous-landscape’s website and look at the canon lens reviews and canon review. That will show that raising your ISO will give this lens a chance to operate in very low light conditions. I owned this awhile back & was very happy with it; sold it when I decided I wanted a lens with a longer range. I got the 24-105–another fine lens but at more than double the cost! For my purposes it was all right; for my son, the 17 85mm has been excellent on his digital slr canon camera for all this time.

Great Digital SLR Lens for outdoor events
What can I say? This is a great lens for everything under the sun. It is worth every penny I spent on it. Most of the pictures I take with this lens are of track meets and other sporting events. I purchased this coupled with the 2x converter. One thing that I didn’t realize when I purchased the package was the autofocus does not work through the 2x converter. Things move too fast for manual focus at track meets and air shows. So it is rare that I use the 2x converter. I got this lens last year in time for the snowmobile season to start. It is tough and goes with me everywhere. The detail is just incredible. I would recommend this for outdoor use. Not quite fast enough for indoor without a flash. If everyone is standing still, it does a great job, but this lens belongs outside.
A must have Digital SLR Lens!
I have used this lens for some years now, and even though I own other L lenses including the 70-200mm f2.8 and the f4, I prefer to use this lens because it is more versatile. This lens produces images, wide open, throughout its zoom range that are comparable in sharpness and color to the 70-200mm f2.8 (which is as sharp as you can get in zoom lenses). What’s more, this lens beats all other lenses when it comes to macro photography in the field. This lens has maximum magnification of 0.20 at 400mm. The images are so sharp that I can see pollen, tiny barbs and hair on insects while shooting handheld from 6 feet away. The background blur is superb. The only other lenses that I carry are the 24-70mm f2.8 and the 50mm f1.4.

Canon 70-200 f/2.8 L Non-IS Digital SLR Lens Is Tops!
Since I got this lens it pretty much hasn’t left my 40D! I wanted to get it before my honeymoon in Kona/Hilo Hawaii so I made sure to get it a week or so before we left so I could get used to the weight. Yes, it is heavy but I knew that before buying it. I don’t get why so many people that buy this lens whine about how heavy it is. You don’t get a lens of this superior quality without trading off something! And I had no problem with paying that much either! You get what you pay for and that money bought me an incredible lens that is worth every penny!
The week before we left I shot a ton of pics all over of everything from planes overhead to people to flowers to buildings, etc, etc. I’ve been blown away with how awesome every picture has been! Once we got to Hawaii I’ve just been in heaven. I put on a 2x extender and from our hotel room I’ve been able to get shots of the sea turtles in the tidal pool below that makes it seem as if I’m right there. Yesterday we went to the volcano park and since you can’t get right up to the activity this lens and at times this lens coupled with the 2x extender were perfect! I’m thrilled because I got amazing pics of the most beautiful place on earth and I have been saying the whole time “I freaking love this camera and this Digital SLR Lens!!!”

Great For Dental Photography
I have a Canon Rebel XT camera and a Canon MR-14EX Macro Ring Lite, and this has really helped improve the quality of my close up photography. This is definitely worth the money. It has worked great since I started using it a month ago.
Canon 60mm Macro Digital SLR Lens
Crisp, fast and versitile. I have found this lens to be remarkable. Close-ups of flowers and insects are easy and the auto focus seems fast enough for me, although it can get confused if there are too many possible focusing points in an image while shooting macro. I do not find this any worse than my other lenses though, that is what manual is for. Great landscape and portrait shots also.I use it most of the time. Buy it, you won’t be sorry.

Read all of great reviews of this lens and believe them. You don’t know how good a photographer you are or how good your Canon camera is until you bolt this thing on. The first time you look through the viewfinder with this lens in place you will smile big time, really you will. Images are outstanding with great snap, detail, bokeh and color…if you can swing the rather silly, large price do it!
One of the 3 best Digital SLR Lens I own
This is the Canon L Prime that got me started buying a lot of prime lenses. I rate this equal in quality to the 85mm f/1.2 and the 50mm f/1.2. I bought this one first because it was cheaper than either of those and it got me hooked.
For many photographers, myself included, 85mm is the perfect portrait length. However, I would argue this is equally good for portraits, and is an equally special lens. Not nearly as fast as either the 85mm or the 50mm, but definitely gives that special quality of tack sharp, perfect, extra vibrant color and high contrast that they have. The three lenses complement each other very nicely.
